The process of opening and closing the isolation switch?

Opening process:

The operating mechanism drives the spindle to rotate.

The insulation rod drives the contact to separate, forming an air gap (such as a 110kV level gap of ≥ 1 meter).

Arc extinguishing chamber (if any) extinguishes the arc (only for special designs with load disconnection).

Closing process:

The insertion depth of the contact is ≥ 90% of the rated stroke.

Contact pressure ≥ 150N (typical value), reduce contact resistance.

Mechanical locking prevents misoperation.

key technology

Contact design:

Use finger shaped or rolling contacts to reduce contact resistance (such as ≤ 40 μ Ω).

Silver coating thickness ≥ 20 μ m, resistant to arc erosion.

Insulation technology:

Composite insulators (such as silicone rubber jackets) have better pollution flashover resistance than ceramic insulators.

Creepage distance ≥ 31mm/kV (Class IV polluted area).

Operating mechanism:

The energy storage time of the spring mechanism is ≤ 15s, and the opening and closing time is ≤ 0.1s.

The hydraulic mechanism has a pressure range of 16~20MPa and is equipped with an abnormal pressure alarm.

Application scenarios

Substation:

Cooperate with circuit breakers to achieve busbar segmentation and switching operations.

Typical configuration: GW4-126 type is used for 110kV busbar isolation.

Transmission line:

Isolate the faulty section during line maintenance, such as the GW7-252 type used for 220kV lines.

power plant:

Isolation on both sides of the generator outlet circuit breaker, such as GN30-40.5 type used for 40.5kV generator outlet.
